Suzanne Perlman's painting, Droogdok op Curaçao, painted in 1959, has been acquired for the permanent collection of the Rijksmuseum.

Speaking of the event, Suzanne says: "The Shell oil refinery had such a large impact in the small island of Curaçao and I felt compelled to make a painting of it. It is a fantastic honour to have my work in such an esteemed collection and I look forward to seeing it hanging on such historical walls!"
